Kid's Favorite

Prime rib 1 kg
Onion(s) 170 g [sliced]
Garlic bulb 1 pc
Butter 25 g
Plain flour 25 g


Premium Oyster Sauce 3 tbsp
Plum Sauce 2 tbsp
Premium Oyster Sauce 2 tbsp
Tomato paste 1 tbsp
Water 240 ml

  1. Wrap the garlic bulb in foil and bake in 220C/425F oven for 30-45 minutes until soft.  Squeeze out flesh and mix marinade.  Marinate the rib for 2 hours.
  2. Preheat oven to 220C/425F.  Put beef on a rack and roast for 20 minutes.
  3. Lower the oven temperature to 180C/350F.  Arrange onion in baking tray under the rack of beef.  Further roast for 40 minutes until medium rare.  Let the rib rest for 20 minutes. 
  4. Meanwhile, saute the roasted onion in butter and flour. Add the sauce mix and heat through.  Strain.
  5. Serve sliced beef with the sauce.
